What is Tibetan Reiki?
Tibetan Reiki entered the Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Lineage with Reiki Master/Teacher William Lee Rand. The symbols, breathing techniques and visualisations have origins in the Eastern Usui Reiki Tradition. Tibetan Reiki has been passed from Reiki Master/Teacher to student for many decades as a complementary addition to Usui Reiki styles. The Tibetan Reiki practice adds a unique dimension to the benefits of Usui Reiki. I am both a Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki and Tibetan Reiki Master/Teacher and have been since July 2007. I have attuned and taught many students over the years including many Japanese students whilst in the Sakura Lounge and Ancient Healing Therapies Clinics in Melbourne CBD. This was an honour and assisted me in understanding some of the Japanese terms used in Usui Reiki. In June of 2014 I attended a Tibetan Medicine Buddha Empowerment and was attuned to the Medicine Guru’s divine healing energy at the Tara Kadampa Buddhist Centre in West End Brisbane. (The Medicine Guru Mantra is featured in a you tube video below.) Upon further study I found that the main deity recognised by the temples of Kyoto prefecture in Japan, was this Medicine Guru. This is the area where Dr Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki made his pilgrimage to the sacred Mt Karuma and mastered Usui Reiki. This signifies a direct interconnection of the Medicine Buddha and Usui Reiki. Originally a Chi Kung and Buddhist practice Usui Reiki was founded within meditation and Eastern wisdom tradition techniques. The story of Usui’s 21 day fasting, meditation and ultimate inspiration for the development of Usui Reiki are well documented and the tradition continues in Japan and throughout the world today. The combination of Usui and Tibetan Reiki with Medicine Buddha empowerment provides a strong and pure connection that is delivered through me to all recipients of Reiki healing sessions and attunements. Dr Usui himself called the attunements, empowerments and is known to have given repeated empowerments to his students over the course of their training. During my training I attended the Reiki level 1, 2 and 3 Reiki two day workshops over an 18 month period. Each month all students would meet with our Reiki Master/Teacher to share our experience of Reiki and to practice on each other and clients. This prolonged and in depth training is similar to the training practices of Dr Usui himself. I teach Usui and Tibetan Reiki to groups or individuals with the aid of my own written training manuals and the hands on attunement process. An afternoon or morning of one-to-one Reiki training allows a personalised experience tailored to your unique self. Anyone whom is interested in learning Reiki or has already attained Usui Reiki levels is able to receive a Tibetan Reiki empowerment. For existing Usui Reiki level 1 or 2 holders the empowerment is $90 and takes only 2 to 3 hours. Usui Reiki level 3 holders will be delighted by the addition of Tibetan Reiki to the teaching process. Learnt in a 4 hour session costing $175. For those whom haven’t undertaken any Reiki training, the Tibetan Reiki attunement may be included within each level of Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki training undertaken with Sensei Shairin. |
Shairin has over ten years experience using teaching and treating with Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki and Tibetan Reiki. The direct transmission of Medicine Buddha Empowerment, many years of Shamanic and Spiritual study and learning Ayurveda and Hatha Yoga in India all coalesce to create a clear and bright facilitator of this straightforward yet profound natural energy healing method.
