What is Astrology?

Astrology is a way of looking at the natural cycles of life. The earth rotates and orbits the sun, and the planets of our solar system forge great patterns of cycles in our skies. Yes!  The heavens are alive with the spinning of time. 

Zodiacal sign horoscopes found in modern media are mostly based on the placing of the sun, at  birth and as we and it travel through the cycles of the seasons, sometimes these can seem quite apt, yet there is more that can be gained from thousands of years of observance and accumulative experience. 

We as humans are natural and intelligent part of the earth.  The earth in turn is a part of the solar system.  Our sun is one of the many, solar, stars in the Milky Way galaxy and more galaxies can be seen in our known universe.

These Empheris star charts show the passage of the other celestial bodies which move within our solar sphere, through the 12 star signs.  The planets are noted and assigned to their place in the 12 segments /houses of an astrological graph.  The 12 houses denote the areas of life that these cosmic influences will present themselves foremost.

The birth chart plots the position of you on the earth in relation to the Sun moon and planets against the back drop of visible stars. Stars have been grouped into constellations over the passage of time.  Many cultures have references to star constellations along with the various archetypal stories depicted by each one.  The definitions are represented  by mythological qualities.  The roots of modern science were founded on the same accumulative knowledge and later theoretical flashes of truth and new understandings which have propelled us into the modern age of 'life as we know it'.

Astrological Interpretation

he Astrological Chart has a straight horizontal line from the right and then through to the left.  This is the earth beneath our feet.  The sun rises on the left and sets on the right throughout a day cycle.  You can see that in your chart the position of the sun (A round circle with a dot within) is in the relevant position to this horizontal horizon line and the time of day that you were born.  Dawn on the left midday at the top, dusk to the right and midnight at the bottom.
 
At the time of your birth and in the place of your birth on this planet the position of the planets and astronomical star constellations or signs, were in these relative positions.
 
The sun and other celestial bodies are seen from earth to be in front of the zodiac signs and therefore the specific rays of cosmic universal energy and light were directed through the galactic sky from these areas of space, to influence our bodies and minds at the time point depicted by this chart.
 
Astrology is a science unto itself and many years of study reveals ever deeper understanding of the correlations and knowledge of the patterns of life.

It is a way of interpreting the effect that quantum cosmic light waves have on our physical, mental and emotional bodies.  As a tool for self knowledge it is invaluable and any piece of information that helps us to know and accept ourselves will help us to move forward with a sense of our uniqueness and empower us to go forth in the world and shine our cosmic light through our earth born carbon-based life form.
